does a C-Spine MRI show muscle & tendons as well?

I was wondering if it shows muscles and tendons as well as the spine because I do get pain in the sides of my neck. I had one today, didn't really think of it until I got home. Anyone??

Re: does a C-Spine MRI show muscle & tendons as well?

Yep -- although the extent to which they will focus on these depends upon the thickness of the "slices" that the MRI takes. Soft tissue is actually the MRI's strong point -- the muscles, tendons, discs, etc. show up much better than bone.
