Well I finally had my ESI's on the 16th. He injected both sides of L4/L5 & L5/S1. Yup 4 total! Anyway, my left leg annoying nerve pain was gone. I had no side effects whatsoever. But now I feel it creeping back. Just when I stretch or turn my head a certain way. So I go back tomorrow to see if he will be doing a caudal approach or facet approach next time. This time I had a transforaminal approach. I didn't even have extra pain afterwards. Do the other approaches cause more pain. All I want is to try to avoid fusion surgery for as long as I can. I know I have barely any disc left in L5/S1 and the entire lumbar spine is bulging! ANy experience would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
