I've been reading the threads on here for awhile and I noticed that some people know exactly what their MRI results are. How do you find this out?
I had an L5-S1 fusion Sep. 05 and had been doing pretty well for awhile. The last five or six months have been a steady decline. Lately the pain in my back has become unbearable and I broke down and went back to the doctor finally. I was really trying to convince myself that I could keep going and it would get better. I have burning in the back, buttock and leg and spasming calf muscles. Sometimes my back feels like it is a hot poker instead of a spine.
Do you have a copy of your MRI Reading results? If so type it out and there are several people on the board that can decipher them. Just remember that if you do this that we are not doctors can be wrong.
Good luck to you and I am sorry about your new found pain.
Sorry your having problems , the way I usually figure out what the MRI means is just google the words you don't understand ,(search engine) and piece everything together ,it's very easy to do. If I can do it anyone can .
I dont' think any of us just new what they meant. We got the results and started asking questions here or whereever and looking the words up. Then we ask alot of questions to each other.....
I have a copy of the disc from the MRI but I don't know where to get the results from??? Would it be on my disc?
Hi: On my mri, the report was on the CD. Once the program is running on the comp, look for an icon that says report and click it. Mine came up with no problem. I can't get any reports unless the dr hands it to me, the imaging places where I live will only give out the films, but if they are on CD you may have the report on that as well.
OK, figured it out. There was no report on the disc so I had to go to the hospital where I had the MRI done and get a copy of it from them. Just got back.
