2 Days to go...

Hey,
Today I went and did my pre-admittance for my surgery . It was almost like the nail that sealed the deal. I'm really going to have surgery !Whew

Today was the best day I have had in 2 months. No back pain, sun was shining, slight breeze aaahhhhhh.

In the back of my head I heard "do I need surgery ? " the voice asked. It was a sweet intoxicating voice, it whispered the way you always wanted someone to whisper to you.

At that moment when my brain was embraced in an exhale ahhhaahhhhh I took a step, it felt like my leg had been hit with a thousand hot darts. Like all my wiring decide to say "hi" at the same time.

That step reminded me of why in two days I'm going to to have surgery.

So that I can enjoy the sunshine and slight breeze to it's fullest.

Still looking for courage !!!
You guys are great who else could I say this stuff too. hahahahaha

Richard

Re: 2 Days to go...

Yes,

I agree it is a month to the day since I had my back surgery. It was a great day for me when it was time to see the doc for the last time, all of the pre surgery physical out of the way, the fitting of the brace and all of the last minute things that needed to be done.

I wish you the best of luck, when you wake up it will be gee my legs and back feel great, now I just need to get over the hospital stuff from the surgery and rest rest rest....

I wish you the best of luck.

Re: 2 Days to go...

Richard,

I'll be thinking about you. Might fit in a little prayer too .

I have about convinced myself to go for surgery too this fall. My business should be cleared up by then.

The last surgeon I talked to said I needed to donate two units of blood for possible use during the surgery. Did you have to do this?

Re: 2 Days to go...

They asked me about blood today, but I didn't get my orders until last week.
You need a two week window to donate blood.

Roy,Jack, Clover

thanks

Re: 2 Days to go...

They told me before my surgery that if they go thru the back the blood loss is usually small. Not sure about abdomimal.

I will be thinking of you. Good luck

Re: 2 Days to go...

That is so nice. You will find the rails very helpful.

Stay busy and try not to get to nervous.

Re: 2 Days to go...

Hi,
I feel so good today, very little pain if any. It's like a body game.
I just keep thinking if I could just get pass this stinging leg pain and numbness. I'd be okay ! I wouldn't need the surgery.

Tomorrow is my day but today is my wife's birthday ! So I'm going to make the painful effort of trying to go out with her. All the pressure is about to fall on her shoulders. The bills, work, nine year old boy, fish tank, cat, and a husband who will make it that much harder. So I'm going to make the effort for her even if it hurts like hell later, I'm going to make it special for her.

Awwww! You are so sweet! Happy Birthday to your dear wife! Try to enjoy today, without over doing too much. Good luck tomorrow. What time are you slated for surgery? Will say a few prayers for you!

Hugs,
