I've had this large bulge in the back of my neck for a long time now, it feels like it's part of my spine and it's ultra hard, immobile and causes my neck to bend. I thought it might be a buffalo hump but I think it may be some kind of spinal deformity. it feels a bit larger then a golf ball and it's really starting to bother
me mentally more then anything as it doesn't hurt unless I press it against a wall
or something. anyone have any idea what this could possibly be?
Ok first I want to welcome you to the board! Also, just a couple of questions have you seen a doctor yet? any xrays, mris.etc. Pain, numbness or tingling. Just curiuos because the more we know the more we may be able to help answer your qestion. There is also a spine disorder board on here that deals with cervical issues if this is one. Once agaon welcome.
Hi thanks, no I haven't been to the doctors yet. It doesn't hurt nor does it tingle. I remember having it as young as 15 and I"m 19 now, however it seems more noticeable now.
It could just be a benign growth or very large lymph node. But since you have noticed a change in it.. you need to not monitor it on your own any longer and get a doctor to look at you. Better safe than sorry guy. Let us know.

A Success, but still improving!
Well no change but major depression has set in over it. I don't have insurance or money right now for a doctors visit. I think it may be a cyst or a growth under the bone. It appears the vertebrae under it feels a bit larger then is normal as well.
