Re: chest pain,high front,and back.

Could be back related, very likely isn't. Not all lung problems involve shortness of breath. These are pretty vague symptoms, so it's hard to give suggestions, but I'd say you need to see a doctor if you need Vicodin to control the pain. Just curious, were you taking the Vicodin for something else already? Could your problems be related?

Hope you get some answers.

Emily

Re: chest pain,high front,and back.

I have the same, I would get it looked at asap, it is in a loction that could be something serious, nothing to fool around with. do not put it off or ignore it. Mine is not the lungs or cardiac thank god, but I put off dealing with it & now in chronic severe pain everyday, trust me you do not want to go there. First you need to make sure you do not have a serious problem going on, & probably should not take anything until you know, if you need pain meds then it should be looked at now. good luck, Sammy

Re: chest pain,high front,and back.

Sounds like you're no stranger to pain!

So the Vicodin is for the back pain, but this chest pain is new? It actually could be related to the lower back pain, especially if that's gotten worse. Since you've had lung surgery in the past, too, it certainly could also be somehow connected to that (a weakening in one spot, which is called a "bleb", or any number of other things). As long as you're sure it's not a cardiac thing, you're probably fine to wait for the appt you already have later this month. You can go on to a specialist from there if necessary.

Hope you get some sleep...
Emily
