Re: Deeannek........donor bone

It happened in early May and my surgery was in late November. I remeber just having excruciating pain in my back and lots of nerve pain in my legs. (burning aching etc) It hurt to sit to stand to walk even laying down didn't give me any relief. So I made an appointment with my surgeon and he said the donor bone was probably inflamed or I might be having a reaction to the hardware, but he didn't offer me any solutions. So then I made an appointment with PM ( she is awesome) and she said that we need to do an epidural and get rid of the inflamation. So we did two of them 2 weeks apart and it went away for the most part. The thing is I didn't have any falling or tripping but Pm did ask if that was happening. I said no, the only time that had happened to me was when I had trouble with my neck. ( I had ddd spinal stenosis bone spur and NO spinal fluid in my neck) I hope this helps if you want to know anything else let me know. Oh that donor bone thing hurt so bad I could beleve that was the cause of my pain( because it seemed so simple) until I had the epidurals and the pain went away. My sleep habits are about the same as yours, and its turning into a viscous circle I cant sleep because of pain and stress and I have more pain and stress because I don't sleep. I have script for ambien cr and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but I am slowly getting back into Yoga and I think that will really help me relax and hopefully sleep better. Dee

Re: Deeannek........donor bone

Dee thank you for sharing this with me. I guess this could be a thought. If I continue with high pain levels I will have to ask my surgeon .
