Arrow won't go away

I have documented DDD in my neck, and my lumbar, but for the last month I have been in bed a lot....due to pain coming from the center of my back. I think it's coming from the area where the back arches. At first I could only get up for 2 or 3 minutes at a time. I am being honest. The pain was overwhelming. I have used ice, heat, narcotics. Its a month later now and I still am in a great deal of pain. I am getting up and trying to do chores. I can only do dishes for maybe 10 minutes, and I don't dare lift anything heavy like a iron skillet!!! I still can't vacum. It feels like someone has kicked me in the center of the back, all day, everyday. Anyone know what might be going on back there? Any help is appreciated.
