I'm going for a second opinion. Possibly a spinal decompression.
I forgot to add that I don't really know what is going to happen when I see the surgeon. I'm taking my MRI CD to him for review and he will tell me what I need. My PM doc said I could possibly need a decompression. I'm just worried about what he will tell me.
Try and relax and wait until you hear what your being offered....you can ask questions till you blue in the face and it wont do you any good if its about something your not even going to have done.....your getting a second opinion and it may be different than what the other doc is saying.....First determin what you are up against and we can come up with tons of great questions.....You might research the doctors you are getting the opinions from first.....Make sure your dealing with a "specialist" and with a "fellowship".....and why they think what they are offering is your best option.... Just for starters.....Then keep us posted and we will help...best we can anyway.
I am not sure what a spinal decompression is. But.....I will say, if the surgeon is good, he/she will explain EVERYTHING to you and all the questions will possibly be answered <minus 1-2 questions> When i saw my neorosurgeon a week or so ago, he explained everything to me. Even the recooperation part. He explained how he would preform the surgery and what it involved. A good doctor will do just that. You may think of something he didnt go over but mostly a good doc will hit most everything. My main concern was recooperating. And my doc was very informative of that. What exactly is spinal decompression?
