anomalous articulation of L5 - help me to understand the ct scan results

cat scan results : there is an anomalous articulation related to the right transverse of L5 and the right side of the sacrum which represents a normal variant but which can alter the mechanics of the spine resulting in a predisposition to degenerative changes. WHAT this suppose to mean ? what's wrong or what can go wrong ?
