Insurance Coverage Problems for Spinal Stimulator

I have been lurking on the board for several years now and have learned so much from all of your posts and information. I am at the end of two fusions at L5-S1 and L4-L5 and have now developed severe problems with scar tissue. The pain in my low back and right leg are almost intolerable. After years of epidurals and medications, my pain doctor has recommended a spinal stimulator. I completed the psychological examination as required and the doctor set the date for December 2 to implant the trial stimulator. I was advised today that my insurance company is now refusing coverage. Has anyone else had any difficulty obtaining coverage for this procedure? If so, any tips on how to get approval from the insurance company? I am about at the end of my ropes and I was quite hopeful that the stimulator would be an answer to some of my pain issues. Thanks again for all of your posts and information. You have all been more help than you will ever know.
