I have lower back pain. I'm currently seeing a PT for 6 weeks and the problem is not getting any better. I've been working on strengthening my core muscles with the PT, with various pelvic exercises. I think its probably a piriformis issue or maybe an uneven pelvic issue.
I got X-rays do today on my pelvic and they definetely look uneven. Also when I walk it feels like my right leg (the bad side) is longer then the left side. The X-ray shows the right side is lower then the left side on the bottom on the pelvic.
I would show you the X-ray but this board dosen't allow uploads or links (too bad), but I can describe it to you.
Anyone help me diagnose this? I've had this pain in my lower back since the beggining of september and need to fix it.
dish, i have a bad pelvic alignment also, they can align it and then as soon as i start doing excersies it goes right back, i would wonder if this you have a big effect on one. Let us know what you find out.

dishshope, i am not sure if it was diagnosed persay but thats what the pt therapist told me a long time ago, i had a report somehwere but not sure where and i need to get recent new reports again. They can physically align mine and after i do exercies its misaligned already. I hope you find answere, best of luck to you!
My P/T dx. me with an uneven pelvis and said that is where some of my pain is comming from. She had me lay on the table and she can tell by looking at my hips/ pelvic bones as well as my legs. If they are not equal, then she knows that something is not right. Also, She has me stand up and she stands behind me with her hands on my hips and I don't know what she does, but she can tell something about my pelvic being twisted. I have not been able to find anything that has been able to help make it any better...but if you know of anything, I'd love to here from you !

foster, keep going to pt is good advice i think it some instances they know alot in some areas. I was told that i have forzen shoulder then i was told per MRI i have shoulder bursitis. After going to p for the shoulder i can say it is somewhat better as i stuck to the excersices and i dont feel it's forsen but other then exercises i dont use it yet a whole lot, but when it comes to my back they are not helping, but they can be of good source as well as tests. I dont know of anything to make it better, they never told me anything about that ithier. I would think the pt therapist could tell you more.

Well, I just got back from the PT and she didn't even wanna look at the X-rays. She said the doctor is way better at that then she is. She did acupucture and loosened up my left hip joint. The funny thing is, the left side isnt the side that hurts at all but she says my left side locks up causing the right side to have to work harder.
I got 5 more appointments with her, so hopefully she can fix me up in that time.
