| Re: BACK QUESTION (Lump or Knot)
just what does it feel like when you kind of "push into' it? is it painful at all? more than likely this IS a wad of muscle/tissue called a trigger point. these can get created when there is a nerve that innervates that area that becomes somewhat inflammed for some reason. it sends out signals when in that state that simply causes the surrounding muscle/fascia to contract up creating that TP. "something" is simply inflamming a nerve or nerves in your low back area. it could be overly strained or it could be something from the spinal area that is directly affecting the nerves too. and MRI of that area would really give you the best look in order to really find out the underlying problem.
