anyone with work comp?

Hi all! I'm a newbie and have been looking around and have found lots of answers to some of the questions I had in your previous posts. Seems like we are all in the same boat, living with back problems and pain.

One thing I didn't see and am wondering about is....

My back injury happened at work. The factory has their own doctor on site. The factory doctor said I was fine "take two of these and call me in the morning" type of doctor. Didn't see anything in the MRI either.
I knew there had to be something more, so I saw my own doctor who flipped his lid when he saw the MRI. Within 30 seconds of looking at the MRI (same MRI as the factory doctor saw) he said "here's the problem" and RX'ed PT and meds and set me up with a specialist.

At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist lol I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced majorly conflicting DX between a doctor that's acting in the best interest of the company (in my case, the factory's on site doctor) and a different doctor with no outside influence. In my situation it seems like the factory doctor was concerned with his employer, the factory, instead of me, his patient. kwim?

Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for your reply.

Re: anyone with work comp?

The factory's on-site physician would not have the equipment or results (xray, MRI, or CT) and is there to do reviews of those who experience an injury or did in the past. Only a Neurosurgeon or Orthopedic Spine Surgeon can do a full review of your test results and symptoms (along with a physical exam) to narrow down exactly what is occurring.

I also hurt my back at work and just had surgery a few weeks ago. Trust me, listen to your doctor. Let us hear from you and how you are doing.
