Mri Results

Hi everyone hope you all have a good day.

The doctor rang my mri results through the other day, i did not really understand alot of what she said so i am going to ask for a copy of my Mri report.

She said i have narrowing disc space L5-S1, bulging disc at S1 and spina bifida occulta at S1. She is sending me for physiotherapy as it may help strengthen my back.

Does anyone know what the long term prognosis is of these conditions?

At the moment my pain has settled down but it seems to keep flaring up every few months. When i get these flare ups i am in considerable pain when i sit, stand, lie or walk. I cannot raise my legs very high when i am lying down and it hurts when i cough/sneeze etc. This lasts for a few weeks then it settles again until the next flare up.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks
