Hi all, Ive had back problems (lower lumbar) sinse around the early 90's. Each year it got progressively worse. The navy fed me anti-inflams for the last 3 yrs until my retirement in '96. MRI/CT/Myleogram/Discograms displayed bone spurs, spinal degen, stenosis and disk tear @ L-4/L-5. Been taking all sorts of narcs the last few years(oxycodone/Duragesic,muscle relaxers etc. Last month I had surgery to clean up bone spurs and open up the space from L-2 to L-5. Although my normal daily pain (average)has come down from around 8 to about 5. In the morning I can barely move from the pain/stiffness. At night it starts up again like clock work untill te sleep pills and percocet kick in. I get about 3-4 hours of good sleep before the pain and stiffness return. And it starts all over again.....everyday...everynight...same old routine. Iam beginning to loose hope of ever being anything but a grumpy husband . I know most on here have things alot worse going on and I hope you all find the relief you need. Sorry, just wanted to vent a little.
