ruptured disc

I have a ruptured disc between c5-c6. I just found this out a couple of months ago. I also am suffering from a severe bladder blockage. Can my disc problem cause my bladder problem?

Re: ruptured disc

Yes, you may want to look up information on each level of the cervical spine and what it can affect.

For example, someone who becomes a paraplegic due to spinal cord injury in the cervical region may have bladder/bowel issues. For those who don't have a severe traumatic injury the symptoms can be based on where on the nerve the impingement is, etc. Get this checked out as soon as possible.

Re: ruptured disc

Thank you very much. I have contacted my surgeon and she states that it is very possible. I will finish up with the urologist first.. I appreciate your quick response.
