Inflamed back muscle best treatments?

what are the best treatments for inflamed muscles i have one on my left lower back and it really hurts. what are good treatments to help recover and make pain away or make it alittle less painfull

[COLOR="Navy"]You can try ice on for 20 minutes then off. Ice helps take down the swelling. Takeing an anti-inflammatory med will also help some. An OTC to take would be Aleve...[/COLOR]

[COLOR="Navy"]I would take Aleve 24/7 for several days. You can ice on and off during the day. My guess is that it will take several days of resting it for the swelling to go down and the muscle to heal. Try not to use it as much as possible.[/COLOR]

To add to what has already been said, a little stretching can help, if it is sore, do the stretching very slowly after you have iced. Backing off your normal routine and avoiding jarring motions like running. The OTC meds Aleve and Motrin will help if they are in your system like ibakeandpray has already recommended.
