We went for an hour car ride lastnight and I was moving all over my seat trying to get rid of an uncomfortable feeling in my back! I couldn't wait to get home!! I wanted to cry because i was in such discomfort; My back felt all "nervy" and restless in my legs & I also notice this when I am at a movie theater~I need to get up and move around, but once I sit back down it happens again.. For some weird reason i need to take my shoes off because I feel too trapped in, this does help quite a bit. Does anyone else know this same feeling? Do I need to get to a Chripractor for treatment? Does it sound like a pinched nerve? Or a disc out? Any advice GREATLY appreciated! Thanks in advance :-)
I try to get out every 20 minutes and walk around or else I can't stand car rides, I've had 3 fusions, My doc said that getting out and walking every 20 minutes is important for back sufferers!

Every other Friday, i have to sit in traffic for around two to three hours. I know all too well the pain you feel. Sometimes when i finally get out of may car, my legs can barely support me. I dont have any sensible advice other than see yr doctor before you see any chiropracter / osteopath.
I hope its nothing more than a muscular 'thing' that can be fairly easily sorted, but only your doctor will be able to tell you for sure.
In the meantime, get up and move around as often as possible.
I can relate, and Im sure many people can. But There have been times when I'd be at the movies and I have this nerving pain in the lower part of my back, that all I can do is just move around my seat every 5 seconds. It makes it very uncomfortable. Just as recent as today, sitting in my History Class for an hour and a half and all I kept getting was stiff. It is so uncomfortable. I wish the best for you, and all of us.
I agree with all of those who posted before me. If you have had back surgery, have back problems, etc. you just cannot ride in a car for very long without getting out to walk. An hour is my limit. If I abuse it, I suffer when I get out, like it hurts and I can't get going very easily. It's a fact with back trouble. Good luck!
I go throught the same thing with pain in spine & legs especially. Had surgery twice this year and see pain care specialist every month. Finally my surgeon ordered me a tens unit that sends electrical impluse to pain area and the referring pain into the legs which is caused by the nerves & muscles. My life has changed since I've had the Tens Unit. I used to ride the motorized scooters in the stores and couldn't take trips in a car without misery. Now it is wonderful how it's help with the legs and spine. You might consider it, it's worth a shot. I am disable for life with badly deteriotated spine including thoraic area. I pray you get the relief I've finally gotten. Bless All, Slimmy
