Random pinching feeling in low back

I went to my primary doc three weeks ago with what I thought, as he did, was a low back sprain. He prescribed muscle relaxers and pain pills. I have continued to work and do all the things I must, only now taking the pain pills every night. My question is...now I notice more of a pinching feeling that comes on out of blue. Sometimes I almost takes my breath away, but it aches/pinches a moment or two, and then it's gone. This happens sporadically but consistently, and it's got me worried. My low back is still very stiff, and I have to be careful when I bend. Do I need to go back to my doc to further investigate this, or just give it more time? By the way, I'm 43 years old female in good physical shape.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Re: Random pinching feeling in low back

Hi mama: I'm having severe neck pain, but to quickly answer you, it sounds like a disk bulge moving in and out, which is pinching a nerve on and off. take care, PatG

Re: Random pinching feeling in low back

Basically you have to give your back a rest which could be doing less housework for instance. When do you experience your back tightening up? Mine tightens up after too much exercise such as no weight bearing exercises. It could be from anything your doing your job, taking care of youngsters, grocery shopping etc. Don't push so hard and don't be so hard on yourself, even use medication to ease up the back muscles such as Robaxacet etc. Also remember to keep your fruit and water intake up because that keeps the spine healthy.
