Arrow upper back pain while drinking

So last night i noticed that whenever i drank i had a sharp pain that travelled from the right side of my chest straight through to just under my right shoulder blade i figured it would be gone in the morning but i still have it. What could this be? and its just with any liquid. Swallowing food is fine.

Thanks

Re: upper back pain while drinking

If it was cold liquid that could be the reason. Other than that the possibilities are endless, anything from acid reflux to hernias, etc. You should see your doctor if it continues and he/she can do a full work up

Re: upper back pain while drinking

Well I was gonna check on both surgeries but in the mean time i'm really gonna do my best to drop some weight myself. As far as the last 1 that commented on here I have no clue why that would be happening to u. I would suggest u go see ur doctor because that could be a serious issue. Or it could be somethin tiny. Either way u only have 1 body and 1 life we all gotta take care of ourselves.

Re: upper back pain while drinking

Pancreas and Kidneys can cause back pain.

Quit drinking now.

I'm not talking about alcohol though? I'm talking about anything, juice, water. When i swallow it gets to a certain point and then i get a sharp pain under my right shoulder blade. I'm going to the doctor sometime next week if it hasn't gone away.

Thanks though.

Re: upper back pain while drinking

Your body may be telling you to buy a Reverse Osmosis water filter system.

Could be something in the water causing your kidneys/pancreas to hurt.

Many factors effect those organs...which can cause back pain. Avoid made in China foods, medicines..they've been caught too many times poisoning products trying to KILL us.

Re: upper back pain while drinking

Hi.. Just read your post. Wow! For the last 2 days, whenever I drink coffee, water, juice...anything
(and I don't drink any alcohol ever.. Never did) I get that sudden pain as I am drinking, only mine is in my upper left back..not the right side. I feel it as I am drinking ..not afterwards.. It's almost as if there were a leak and it was spilling out into my shoulder blade. It doesn't happen with food.. Justliquids..and it. Came on suddenly. I drink coffee all the time, so this upsets me that I can't even enjoy a cup of coffee.. Or even a bottle of water...hot, cold.. It doesn't seem to make a difference...what could this possible be?
I do not get indigestion or any abdominal pain.. Just the back.
Someone please post if you know what it is...not just a guess. Thanks!!
