Trigger point injections

Hi, just wondering are trigger point injections always done with a local anaesthetic or are they sometimes used with a muscle relaxant?? Thanks.

I don't know about the UK, but I believe it is most common in the US to use lidocaine in trigger point injections. They are done with or without the inclusion of a corticosteroid...depends on the situation and the doctor who is doing the injecting.
