Transition from walker to cane - Suggestions?

I don't want to violate any rules, so I'm not really looking for brand endorsements (unless that's OK). I'm about 5 feet 11 inches tall and am looking for a high-quality cane to replace my walker (which I plan to stop using within the next 2 or 3 days). < edited > Thanks!

Re: Transition from walker to cane - Suggestions?

There are a number of companies that make high-quality canes. The ones I have liked the best are the ones that have a hand grip at the top instead of just being rounded. Also, make sure the cane you order fits your tall size. Ideally you could go to a medical supply store or drug store to try them out.

It's also nice to get ones that are collapsible, but that's not necessarily critical.

Has this transition been suggested by your doctor?
