neurologic deficit

Does anyone have any information on this? I Injured my back about 3 years ago and ever since then Iv'e been having some problems, Not including my back pain.
Does anyone know what the treatment for something like this is? I haven't seen a neurologist yet, but i feel this might be what i am currently dealing with.

I haven't seen info on this anywhere, but am i correct in assuming that to treat the deficit one would have to treat the injury causing it?

Re: neurologic deficit

It would be to your benefit to have a neurologic evaluation to see what deficits you have, and then you might need further tests, MRI, EMG, etc. I had lumbar spinal stenosis that caused me to have a weak left leg, and also a balance problem. That led to an injury from a fall that resulted in spinal cord compression in my neck. You may have a nerve being compressed, and there might be a procedure that can help you. You won't know until you get further tests.

Re: neurologic deficit

What specifically do you mean by neurologic deficit? What are your symptoms?

Re: neurologic deficit

I have been having problems with my balance and speaking. I also have been having mental function problems, from the best i can describe I have been having trouble concentrating. But i am uncertain on how to fully explain my concern.

Re: neurologic deficit

You should see a neurologist if you are having signs of confusion, dizziness, trouble speaking, etc.
