| | Disk Herniation and genital Herpes
I am a 38 years old woman. It has been for 1.5 years that I am suffering from lower back pain and can not walk for more that 5 minutes. My CT shows that I have a MILD disk bulgement in L4/L5 level and nerve pinch in that area. I have a lot of burning sensation in my left foot, toes and hip when I stand or walk. I can't stand straight and my body posture is bending toward the right side to eliminate the pain. My doctor told me that the fluid inside of my disk had came out and my disk needs to be removed. I know the burning sensation is caused by pinch nerve and also the fluid inside the disk irritate the nerve.
about 8 years ago I was diagnosed by genital herpes. Genital herpes stay in spinal column/root as well as disk.
My question is:
-Is it possible that herpes virus released from fluid inside the disk irritate and damage my nerve and causing the pain and burning sensation.
-Also this virus could be the cause of disk deterioration?
Thank you very much,
