Need help with interprretation

Hi,

I have headaches, dizziness and balance issues. The Brain MRI came back normal.
My Cervical Spine Xray reported the following:
The vertebral bodies, disk space and posterior elements are within normal limits.
The prevertebral soft tissue is within normal limits.
The visualised exit foramina appear grossly normal.
No cervical ribs.

Please can someone explain what this actually means, as I have never hear of grossly normal before.

Thank you.

Darleegar

Re: Need help with interprretation

In radiology terms, it means they are really, really good. They use terms like "grossly" to say things are very normal and "insignificant" in mean that a small amount of trouble and "significant" to say that there are problems.

The foramina are the tiny holes that allow the spinal nerves to exit the vertebrae and in your case, they are all nice and open so no nerve compression.

Good news.
