I have back pain, where can I get this done?

I have back pain due to scoliosis, but I also have other health problems and while I know that exercising in physical therapy would help, I'm just not able to do that right now. But I need something for the pain and I don't really want to be on more prescriptions right now, or even over the counter pills. It's just not that severe.

What would help would be massages and stretching. I know I could go to salons and get massages but there's no way that I could afford it. Where in the world can I get this done but have it somewhat covered by my health insurance?

Would that even be physical therapy or a pain management office, or something else?

I am not sure what you mean in saying you can't do PT right now...A good PT will work with your ability level. Some do a bit of massage but they can also do light stretching and strength work to build you up. The right one WILL push you a bit but NEVER past your limits.

There are medical massage options....you'd likely need a prescription for that so you'd need to work through your doc. I don't know if insurance companies challenge those more often than others to make sure people aren't abusing the system.
