Scar tissue, Sharp back pain after Laminectomy/ Discectomy

How are you doing now? My surgeon had two attempts at my disc ectomy. 3 months on now and I'm having problems....maybe scaring....will this clear up in time and is there anything to help me recover?
Thank you.

Re: Scar tissue, Sharp back pain after Laminectomy/ Discectomy L5-S1

Sometimes a disc continues to reherniate. There is a limited number of times the surgeon can remove parts of the disc until little disc is left. Then the patient is left with a "bone on bone" situation which can be very painful.

Then the next step is to have a fusion to preserve stability and keep nerves from becoming compressed.
