Re: several disc bulges, deccication, protrusion cervical & lumbar; new dr doubts mr
Are you still on the board?
I read through the responses you received on the MS board and noted nothing ran beyond 2/2 or 2/3...so I was just wondering.
If I understand your situation correctly, you suspect that a cervical disc is causing your symptoms, went to an ortho who ordered the MRI, and then he sent you to pain management. Did he refer you after he looked at the results of the MRI?
From your suggestion of what the MRI revealed, I think you misunderstood what the PM doctor was telling you about the results. I'm guessing here but, I don't think he was telling you what was on the report was wrong. Rather, he was stating that the findings are not significant -- meaning in his opinion, the "damage" that is showing is not sufficient to be causing you significant pain.... He sounds like he is not dismissing your pain but that he doesn't think the amount of pain and the symptoms you are describing are coming from what he is seeing concerning your cervical and lumbar discs. Am I explaining this sufficiently that you can see the difference?
