Unhappy Thoracic sprain?

I have a sharp pain in my mid right back area for about a year. it hurts to breath in and out deeply. It hurts when i turn my upper torso. i have trouble laying on my back after work. i have deep needling, massages and acupuncture but nothing as seemed to work. i am scared that i have left it to late and it is permanent.

Re: Thoracic sprain?

I have a herniated disk at T7/8, along with arthritic bone spurs that are pinching nerves and my spinal cord. I CAN tell you it hurts like hell when I use my arms to wash dishes, cook, fold laundry... pretty much using my arms in front of me. I can tell you that a heating pad really help mine to feel better, however I also take pain meds, but they don't do much without the heat. I'm not sure how extensive a dr can go with repairing the T spine. I've heard they can't, or don't want to mess with it.

To answer your question... I'm not sure if you let it go for to long because I really don't know if they can fix it, or want to fix it, unless it is pinching off your spinal cord.

Have you had an mri on it? Try the heating pad and see if that helps. Hope you feel better. I wish I could be of more help to you.
