Low back pain and eating correlation?

I noticed today that in 1yr and 5 months I have not had a pain free day, but today was the exception...I had 4-5 hrs of relief...don't know if it was because I had slept for 12 hours, not eaten till 3p.m., or combination of the both....I was wondering if anyone have had a connection with eating and back pain...I am currently weaning off all the medication so I can do a discogram...Have made many of posts in the past...Thanks for the advice once again

I'd think it was more the sleep than the food. But glad you are "getting a break" from the pain and wish you luck on the disco

So is your back pain from your back or referred from in your belly somewhere. This not that unusual. Can you do any movements which will bring on the pain?

I've suffered from intense back pain directly due to IBS, or more specifically, massive gas bubbles in my colon. Your intestines is a major nerve pathway so even like trapped gas can cause major pain in the lower and upper back as well as in your sides and stomach. Eating could be a factor for you.

Re: Low back pain and eating correlation?

I wonder if it was a combination of the 12 hours of sleep and maybe not sitting upright. If you weren't eating, maybe you weren't sitting.
