Shoes for post bunyion and neuroma surgery

Four months ago I had a double foot surgery, same foot had both a neuroma removed (it was very large) and a bunyon removed at the same time. The struggle to recover seems endless, the only days that I have a good day is when I just stay off my foot altogether. As this is not possible most days, I am in a great deal of pain periodically depending on what my activity level is. I to not mean sports or anything fun. Normal survival stuff like grocery shopping, cooking and going to work make the pain elevate. So, I have read that this is normal, and that the process will probably take a year, but can anyone recommend a shoe company that has comfortable shoes with support that can also accomodate some swelling?

I appreciate any and all tips . . . it feels like a dager is being driven into my foot.

Re: Shoes for post bunyion and neuroma surgery

Sorry you haven't gotten any responses to your question. I don't have any particular expertise in this area, but I wanted to say hi.

Have you considered a custom orthotic? There are more and more styles of shoes that have removable insoles, so that you can put in your own orthotic insole.
