Re: My doctor's office scared me
There's an upside to hearing something is abnormal since it means they can identify a source for whatever issues sent you to the doc in the first place. Call and ask if you can speak to a nurse for more details. It wasn't overly responsible for them to give you such a limited response! Let them know you need an in-network referral.
The nurse called me at 11:58 and I wanted to be off the phone by noon because I always call my father at noon and I didn't want him to be worried. I haven't told him about my back problems and I don't intend to, until I have to. He is older and about 1300 miles away and I don't want to worry him.
Turns out I called back and she says she doesn't know for sure but it's a disk problem. I found a doctor that will take my insurance and the doctors office will fax the MRI report to them, now it's just a matter of being able to get an appointment with them.
