what one thing are you looking forward to doing when you fully recover?

Im just looking forward to doing everything around house itself: cleaning, cooking, shopping. Also walk-in for long distantes without any assistive devices, oh, and sex too (poor husband between hysterectomy just before fusion It'll be well over 12 months!). What is everyone else anxious to do once recovered?

Lol my wife is Canadian. I got over all that stuff the first trip to see her family. As for falling..you wear so many pads you don't feel anything.

For me the biggest blessing has been being able to walk again without pain.

Re: what one thing are you looking forward to doing when you fully recover?

It would be great if my 3 year old could jump into my lap again without being scared of hurting me. I miss all of the activities with my kids. I tried to go to the pool with my wife and 3 ye old a couple months back and could not walk halfway from the parking lot to the pool without realizing I needed to turn back and return home. It's activities like this I'd like back the most.

Re: what one thing are you looking forward to doing when you fully recover?

I can't wait to hold my 9 month old niece. Play on the floor with all my nephews. Walk, sit and stand for a substantial amount of time. Get dressed with high heels( I can dream about the heels/can't I) and and go out to dinner and dancing with my husband. Clean my house. Shave my legs!
Oh and I can't wait until my nephews come to my house and no longer call it Auntie Boo Boo house!!!

Re: what one thing are you looking forward to doing when you fully recover?

Since I have my surgery scheduled for Sept 13, I have been thinking about this quite a bit lately. The thing I'm looking forward to most is eventually not having to think about everything I do before I do it! Being able to just be me again is right up there with that one.
