I've been experiencing moderate pain in my back, neck, arm, hand and foot, but only on my right side of my body. I have headaches as well, but again only on the right side. It doesn't feel like muscle aches, but more of a deep down pain that just wont go away. I've had this a few times over the last 3 years or so and eventually it just goes away. I've been to the doctor before about this but he doesn't have much of a theory.
I am 29 yr old make, not in great shape but not in bad shape either. My work is half sitting at a computer and half running around doing errands. I exercise, lift weights and generally don't sit on the couch all day long. I am right handed.
If anyone has had something similar or has any advice I would appreciate it greatly.
Just guessing here, but it sounds like you may have something like a disc herniation or bulge in the cervical area that is pressing on a spinal nerve. In early stages, or if there is a little bit of instability, the pain can come and go. It can be on one side or the other, depending on where the disc is damaged. It can happen to the right of the spinal cord, to the left of the spinal cord or it can be what is called "bilateral" which means it occurs in the central area and is large enough to affect nerves on both the left and right side.
If the pain becomes worse you could make an appointment with a spine specialist to have this checked out. This could be an orthopedic spine surgeon or a neurosurgeon whose practice is limited to the neck and back.
Just prepared to write my thoughts, but after reading previous post, I don't have much to say.
I would definitely see Neurosurgeon, they are great when it comes to spinal nerves. After my spinal surgery I had problems and only Neurosurgeon had an idea and he was right.
I am not a DR, but based on your symptoms, it really can relate to your spinal cord issue, especially if it comes and goes... You better find your problem now, because one day pain may come and may not want to leave anymore... So go ahead and see what good doctors have for you!
