| | Left Scapula Pain/Tingling, 10+ years
I actually feel as though I have exhausted my options in getting well. I have had 10+ years of constant discomfort/pain/tingling in my left scapula. The sensations have caused me to have severe muscular pain in my neck and upper back. I have seen at least 3 chiropractors a year, in addition to bone and joint specialists. I have had MRI's and X-Rays done. Nothing. I have had no injury to this area. I have had no surgery done. I now sleep with my left arm raised above my head as that gives me a bit of relief. In addition to raising my arm, I also receive a bit of relief by doing maneuvers that "raise" my scapula... I get a cooling sensation when I do these movements. I have had doctors tell me I have a lymphatic drainage issue, to a stress issue, to something about my neck being offset, to it's all in my head.
Really, when this pain started my Mom thought it was just growing pains. I was 15/16 years old, and athletic. Made sense. But when this didn't go away when I turned 19...I knew it wasn't. I'm sick of putting doctors children through college in an attempt to get well. Fact: living in pain every day is very wearing on ones patience.
I hope that someone can point me in the right direction... or at least give me some new thoughts! If you have any questions, please ask...
