Wink Is infuse devise safe?

What to do. I'm going in for lumbar fusion on the 10th and the doc has me on perc 10 three times a day and it is not enough. I've been through the rounds with him. He doesn't doesn't like to prescribe pain meds. I am in pain unbelievablely. I'm almost out. He wont give me any more until the surgery. I understand tapering off before surgery is helpful. Also they are going to use an infuse device. Is it safe?

Re: need pain meds back surgery

I am sorry that you continue to suffer. Sometimes there is no pain relief from narcotics for back pain. You do have a short wait although I am sure to you it seems like an eternity. Back pain tries all of our patience and sometimes it does get the best of us all. Hang on and pray for a good surgical result. Hugs

Re: need pain meds back surgery

Thanks for the encouraging words. I guess im just frustrated. I guess I'm Lucky I'm not addicted to any meds, on the other hand. The pain is debilitating. If the surgery goes well. I'll be happy for sure. Also they are going to use a infuse device, is that normal. I've heard some not so good things. Anyone have any ideas?
