Re: Just told I have Herniated Disc's in Neck and Ruptured in Spine w/Questions ?
Thank you all for your replies, I 1st have to get my Gallbladder removed which will happen by the end of this year then next year I will start on the Neck and Back issues. I am having blood pressure issues because I'm having such probs with the meds they keep putting me on so I needto get that straight before I even think of letting them cut on my Neck and Back.
************Good luck with the GallBaladder removal my daughter had this done after her first child. She was in a lot of pain prior but afterward was about two weeks and she was back to herself.... She was in her early twenties. It was an emergency she went in with a belly ache and came out a week later one less Gallbladder.*****************
Those of you that had surgeries on the Neck like what I have to have done, Did they go through the front part of your Neck or in the back of Neck ? My aunt in NC has had 4-5 surgeries and they went through her throat for one Neck surgery and then on another through the back of her neck. It scare me to even think of having to have these operations.
******I had mine done via the anterior neck... the surgery itself was very successful I found out later it was all my other issues that caused all my pains Although I started having migraines for the first time in my life with in a week post op. That was me though and I waited way to long. I had nerve damage and my spine was so compacted it took a long time for the nerves to realize they were free. Not everyone is the same. My sister in law had the same surgery as I did and she had the perfect recovery she is back to work and leading a normal life...******
The Dr I am going to has been checked out, He came highly recommended and has actually operated on my hubby's niece's spine which was a very complex operation. He has a great bed side manner as well. If I wanted to do more checking on him though, how do you go about doing that for any Dr ?
