Where is your pain? Do you think it is muscular in nature?
I would suggest you lie down and use ice/cold gel pack on your lower lumbar back (I'm assuming that's where it hurts. If not ice the area of back where it hurts.) It is important to try to keep it from swelling. You can use ice for 15-20 minutes per hour as often as needed, being careful to protect the skin.
Also if you can tolerate them, take a NSAID like Advil or Aleve, following directions on package.
