Re: Post ALIF walking and right leg GAVE OUT!

Guys and girls, I am proud to say I am doing a little better... I also went and spoke with my priest which made me feel good as well..

Unfortunately I have to feel good my surgery is now second. My poor 2 year old daughter who is the cutest doll in the world, had very dark almost black urine yesterday then went to straight blood last night.. before it got to blood we were able to get her to the ped's office and they did blood work and got a urine sample. Following that my pediatrician called us and spoke to us on the phone for about 45 min (this is at 7:30 at night, how often does a doc do that? I'll never change peds!) In the end we found her urine had all kinds of bad stuff in it but first had an infection so we clear that up then find out why her kidney is dumping other junk in there..

Ended the phone conversation with when do we drive the hour and half drive to a city Children's Hospital, as we were ready for it, and he knew it!! Answer was when she runs a big fever or urine gets bright red blood.. 5 minutes after hanging up the phone she peed straight blood, very bright... So ER until about 2 this morning.. Still no direct answers but we know her kidneys are dumping glucose and proteins in her urine among a few other things and of course the infection which we are treating now...

SO needless to say my back will get better, Now I don't really care!! I just want my baby better :'(

Re: Post ALIF walking and right leg GAVE OUT!

Oh that does put things in perspective, doesn't it? Nothing is worse than having a sick child. I hope she is in good hands and that they will be able to figure out what is causing the problem. How terrifying to see that blood.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family -- please let us know how she is doing.

guerilla, I will be praying for your precious angel princess, I promise, starting now. She,too will get better. He is faithful. You have to do what you have to do now to care for your wife and family. He will protect you as well. Sorry she is ill, when the infection is cleared her kidneys will be perfect, is my hope. Do take care, gmak

THANK YOU gmak, you are a good person (weird I feel like you're a friend but we've never even met:-)

She had a rough start pneumonia 4 times, tubes in ears all that stuff we found that St. Gerard has helped..

O Saint Gerard, who, like the Savior, loved children so tenderly and by your prayers freed many from disease and even from death; graciously look down upon the distressed parents who plead with thee for their child’s health if such be the Will, of God. Present their promise to God to bring up the child a good Christian and to guard it by word and example against the fatal leprosy of sin. This favor we implore thee, O sainted Brother, through the tender love with which Jesus and Mary blessed thy own innocent childhood. Amen.

Feel free to send one up for us and her

Re: Post ALIF walking and right leg GAVE OUT!

Hi friends, went and got 3 epidural shots today, joint inflammatory one, one for the scar tissue around the surgery sight and one for the nerve block.. anyone that has had these know that my leg feels like crap and my back just feels a little sore.. they also know tomorrow will be hell when it comes to stiffness!! besides that doing okay, honestly I got sick following the epidurals had to sit at the office for about an extra hour and my leg was numb, I mean fall off bed numb haha.. my original BP after was 88/33 so I was stuck there haha..

Following there I went to Wendy's and got a double baconator with extra bacon still messed up on versed and the lortab I went nom nom nom LoL

as for the daughter, not as good.. She has to go see a kidney specialist tomorrow. We were told by the doc, I will tell you now, I personally am going to make the call for the visit, but the wait is usually 2 weeks. He called back 20 minutes later and said I don't want to worry you but they looked at the test results and they want her in there tomorrow...

SO we see the specialist tomorrow, the doc said they might admit her to flush her kidneys and bladder out but we'll see... Prayers appreciated friends.. I pray to St. Gerard for this his prayer is as follows>>

Amen.

But you can pray to ANYONE that might help out in this awkward time when you know something is really wrong but have no answers.

I hope they can too dear... I hope they can too

Top notch docs at St. Louis Children's Hospital so I am leaning on that as my "stay strong crutch" plus the wife took off again and I have to remain strong for her. Even though she is a nurse this is really a hard time for her, as is me and I am very emotional when it comes to my babies so there will prolly be some wet eyes tomorrow but lots of hugs and smiles too, our baby shows no external symptoms. As a matter of fact she is going with a goose egg on the forehead tomorrow because she thought it would be fun to jump off the couch to the footstool and missed but caught the corner aye aye aye LoL...

thank you for your blessings

Re: Post ALIF walking and right leg GAVE OUT!

Dear guerilla, praying for your daughter & your family. Keep the faith as it can move a mountain. I hope this helps a little. With your wife being a nurse & going thru this, where we would pull from our imaginations when
facing medical things, she will pull from sheer memory of what she has seen & learned being a nurse. Thought it would help you a little to know this. Hoping & praying the dr tomorrow will do the exact right thing that leads to your babies health being restored fully & speedily. Thanks for taking the time to update.
