Pain in lower spine

So I woke up this morning and noticed when I bend forward I have pain in my lower spine. Doesnt really feel like the muscles in my back, feels like its my actual spine. Thought maybe I slept weird and it would go away. Its been for hours now, its not not going away, and now I feel like there is even a slight burning sensation with it. Not sure exactly what part of the spine it is to tell you, I'm guessin the lumbar region. I have not done any heavy lifting, nor have I been in any accidents. I was fine when I went to bed last night. Woke up with this spine pain. Thoughts?

Re: Pain in lower spine

Welcome to the board.

Since you just woke up with the feelings that you have, not sure what to make of it.
I'd say if it doesnt clear up in a few days then seek medical attention. Has it stopped you from doing your normal daily activities?
How old are you? The reason I ask is that most people will have spine issues as we get older all degenerative in nature.
Can you attribute the issues to any sort of trauma recently?
I say see how it goes over the next few days as to whether it continues or if it gets worse. then seek medical attention. Maybe start off with x-rays at that point in time.

Let us know how you are in a few days and will see where you should go from there. I usually dont like to jump to conclusions right off the bat.

Re: Pain in lower spine

You may have a little spinal arthritis in one or more of the facet joints, and something about the position in which you were sleeping caused it to become irritated.

You might want to try icing the area to see if it helps.
