| Super hard back knots
I have been having a real bad bout of back and neck spasms recently and it wasn't due to an injury. Basically, I have very hard knots in the trap muscles, neck muscles, and down into the shoulder blade area - it gets painful to turn the head and if feels like I am out of alignment from the spasms. I have tried trigger point on myself by laying on a tennis ball, using a thera cane and have done one session of massage therapy. The therapist was able to relax the muscles some but not release some of the knots (which some are like very fibrous). I did go through a very stressful health issue this past year and this started afterwards. I had a similar bout many years ago and it gradually got better, but this one is hard to cope with. I think this may be some form of MPS but weirdly, the muscles do not hurt when rubbed. Does anyone else get these hard ropey muscles that won't break up?
