Hi beena, Welcome to healthboards! Im so sorry that you are having severe pain! Do you have a history of kidney problems, infections, stones? What else did your dr say when he said inflamed discs. What kind of back problems have you had? I have had both & would like to help you but need some more info. Do you feel like this is an emergency or could you see the
dr today? Did you hurt your back recently or do you know what proceeded
the pain? When my kidney/kidneys hurt it is half under my ribs in the back & half not, vertically or if i drew a line around to the front it would be above my belly button. The lumbar spine that hurts me is lower than belly button if i drew a line around to front. Thank you, gmak

. What a great way to describe it! Above belly button- possibly kidney issues, below belly button- possibly back issues! I've never heard it explained that way, but it really is the most simple easiest way to think if it!! You are a doll!! Glad to see you posting again! I know people around here missed you because you are a GREAT ASSETT to these boards!!
