| L4-5 Disc and facet disease
Would Mild Spinal Stenosis cause my lower right leg, above ankle, below calf, right on top of the stretch of achilles, to be painful? It's beginning to sound like achilles tendonitis instead. Doctors guessed it was my bulging disc, which I found is only slight (1mm disc bulge L3-4) and a drying up disc at L4-5. They guessed it was that because I suggested it. So all this time I have been doing all the PT (stretches and what not) to heal sciatica and piriformis muscle. I have pain (significant) when I sit down, after walking up or down stairs. in other words, at rest. I figured it out on Christmas night, I had worn Uggs all day, (no support) and I remember taking my toes on my left foot, and pushing my right heal as to stretch my leg, stretching the achilles, which after a few minutes caused an intense unbearable pain. Almost went to ER. (In area above ankle, below calf). Next day doc said, "I just noticed, your MRI doesn't show significant disease", "not enough to cause the pain your describing"...and said, "Sounds like Achilles Tendonitis"... Now i've been treating for that, seems to be slowly getting better, but SUPER SLOW!! Every stair I take, causes me to get back to square one. Should I still keep my appointment with Spine Specialist? So confused, But I want to get to the bottom of what the real problem is...
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Again, I really don't have back pain, but sometimes the front of my thigh hurts, but other than that, just the back lower right leg....
Thanks in advance for any advice!!!
