| Microdiscectomy L4-L5 Surgery Success!!
I wanted to tell you about my successful Microdiscectomy back surgery this past September 2012!! If you are in the Helena, MT area, Dr. B. Max Iverson at the Helena Orthopaedic Clinic is the man to talk to about spine surgery and general orthopaedics. I came to Dr. Iverson with a pretty large herniation between the L4 & L5 discs. The herniation had started roughly 15 years earlier, and was beginning to choke my spinal cord and impair my walking. I had ignored this herniation for so long, but now I had to address the pain. I also had sciatic pain on my left leg, that was so painful, I could not walk or sleep very much at night. Dr. Iverson encouraged me of the success rate for this surgery, but I was very scared pre-surgery, considering I had never had a surgery before. I went into surgery at 8 AM and under severe pain. I came out of surgery at around 10 AM, and it was truly a life changing experience for me. No more sciatic pain, and I could walk just fine. It has now been just over 4 months, and everything has been a success!!!
