my husband and i were in were in a car accident almost 2 years ago, since the day his been having back pain/leg pain/chest pain
His been seen a pain management for almost 1 year which he got 4 injections neck & back to calm his pain then he saw a Spine Surgery Specialist where he got back surgery because one of his disk got dislocated. Two years later, he still with lots of pain, he just saw his doctor today and as per the MRI results everything is good there's no need for another surgery. He was refer back to the pain management. We just don't know what to do, i cant see him with all this pain every hour everyday.. any suggestions will be appreciated! thanks
PS can it be a nerve damage?

Welcome to the board.

Could you describe in a bit more detail your husband's pain symptoms, where the pain is located, does it radiate or run down a leg,is it constant or situational, etc.?

Do you know what type of surgery was performed and at what disc level? I'm guessing he had a discectomy. What did the spine surgeon indicate might be causing the continuing pain?

If your husband has been in a car accident and there is back pain for more than 6 months then it's called chronic pain. and with car accident it's even called intractable pain (even after surgery).

Unfortunatelly there is no cure for chronic pain. People with chronic pain get injections or take pain meds and so on. For ever.

Hi I posted once before as I had chronic pain after a back injury at work (discs herniated and bulging). Warm water swimming has worked wonders for me. The water has to be very warm (90 or 90 plus degrees preferably). It relaxed and I think strengthened damaged muscles surrounding the injured areas. Might be worth a try wishing you both well!
