Hi, i work at a dog boarding kennel and during the christmas time there was a mastiff there and when i was gonna put his collar on for him to go home he jumped on me, his paw was on my ribs and i hit the wall pretty hard. after then they were a little sore on my left side. after i would eat a big meal my ribs on my left side and my back directly behind that would hurt so bad that id get a headache and very teary eyed. it stopped for awhile so i assumed my rib was just bruised. but 2 days ago i experienced it again. and last night it happened but not quite as bad. then it got me thinking that in early November one night my ribs were aching so bad and i had a fever of 100 degrees, i missed school the next morning but that afternoon was completely fine. i dont know if the two problems are connected or not and i'd like some help with what could be causing them. please help! thanks!
thanks Cathy. I think my mom is taking me to the chiropractor to get an xray monday. i was just a little worried cause someone told me i could have an ulcer from stress or too much soda (which is likely cause i drink more than a can in a day) so i was really worried and stopped drinking soda. but then someone else said it could be my gull bladder, then someone said i could have a cracked rib. so i dont really know what to think of it..
I'm telling ya rib pain is hard to diagnose I just went thru it forover a month come to find out it was aside effect of cipro I had taken back in dec. caused me to sprain my ankle, had ct scan of stomach, upp/lower gi series, went to lung specialists and finally read about the cipro. After that I had steroid inj in my ribs for the pain, help right much. Good luck let us known how it goes...btw start keeping a log with date, dr, test and result, you'll need it. Cathy
well i went to the doctor and they did blood tests, urine samples, and an x ray. they told me i have acid indigestion and to take zantc. so far ive taken it before breakfast and after dinner and i have had no more pain. hopefully thats all it was, and ive also quit drinking soda.
