Back Pain/Posture causing Cough?
When I sit, particularly leaning back, or when I lay on my back, I cough a lot and have trouble breathing. I have back pain and horrible posture from working on a computer too much. The coughing got much worse about a month ago after a few days working while lying on my back. Doctors have treated me with antibiotics and lots of other stuff to no avail, and they do not seem to take seriously my indication that my back pain (in the muscles, not lungs) precedes my cough rather than vice versa. If I am exercising, I have no coughing whatsoever and do not get shortness of breath. It only happens when I am sitting or laying, particularly when my back is making contact with something (e.g., the bed, the back of a chair, etc.). It does not happen when I am on my side, either.
Anyone else have some relationship between back pain/posture and coughing?
