Eyebrow question, please respond! - Beauty & Cosmetics Message Board

I love then look of barely there pencil thin light eyebrows and have been wanting to shave mine off and then lightly pencil them back in. But of course I am chicken when it comes to that stuff. Does anyone do this or has done it that can give me advice?Thanks!

i personally do not care for that look as it can look terrible on some people. i did it myself and i saw pictures later in which i looked like a clown. i actually have a lot of experience in theater so it's not like i was starting from scratch when it came to make up and what not. if i were you, i would go to a professional place and have them sculpt your eyebrows according to your face. it takes a looooooonnnnggggg time for the eyebrow to grow back, so i would let a professional do it, don't be like me and look stupid.

i wouldnt shave your eyebrows, id wax them. too thin or none at all(pencil in) looks good on some people, and some people lookreally bad. i just read the other day, in a magazine that women should go thicker in their 20's and 30's and thinner in their 40's. i dont know if i quite agree! basically you just have to experiment, with your face. my eyebrows grow back VERY QUICK.

I second waxing. Shaving can leave awful stubble. If you are feeling chicken about it, then you could always do it gradually. Get your eyebrows waxed thinner than you usually have them. See how you like that and from there you can proceed to go thinner and thinner. The same can be done with tweezing of course. My eyebrows personally grow fast so i've been able to have them completely natural and thick to very thin. Both ways I love and all ways in between. It's just hair, so have fun with it and do whatever you want.

Thin drawn on eyebrows look horrible. That goes in the category with dark lip liner with lighter lipstick...both no nos.
