What is going on with my hair.I have long-medium brown hair with some blonde highlights i had done 2 weeks ago.Well my hair looks great after i washed it,styled it and then few hours later it gets oily on the front and i just wonder why did i bother styling it.I tried Pantene,VO5,Fructise,Herbal,Dove and a lot of expensive hair care products.I do deep conditioning,nothing freaking works.It is not freezy or dry,it gets oily.And i wonder if i can call the salon and complain about the highlights already fading away after 2weeks.I paid $150.00 and $60 for some "great Loreal products".Why can i do and any shampoos that could help,please reply.Thank you all

Are you using too much product? My hairdresser has always tells me less is better. I use Redken Extreme shampoo and conditioner. I water the conditioner down, per my hairdresser's instuctions. Half water, half conditioner. And then rinse, rinse, rinse when you're done. You don't want to leave any shampoo or conditioner in your hair to build up. What are you using for styling products? Are they greasy?

No,they are not greasy.I had a very good hairstylist in Tucson,AZ and she did my hair highlights for 6 mo.And this guy did the same thing and it's fading.For the shampoo i've used it as directed.I don't know what i'm doing wrong and i'm not damaging my hair or overdoing it.Don't know if there is a shampoo out there that can help.I'm soooo sick of wasting my money.

What hair care products are you using? Do you put the conditioner on every time & do you apply it to the roots? What styling products are you using?

#1 if it's oily why are you conditioning it? conditioner adds oils to your hair
#2 if you are applying it to the roots you should never apply conditioner to the roots.. it clogs the hair folicles, takes away from your volume, and there's already plenty of oil at the roots, the ends are what needs conditioning
#3 are your highlights bleached or dyed? if they're bleached a clarifying shampoo will bring them back out.. and help tremendously with your oil problem.. but if they're dyed it will only strip the color and you should use a clarifying product for colored hair, "catwalk" is a good new line for color protection
